Cancellation Policy
At Lucky Dog Pets, we understand that plans can change! We do our best to be flexible while also respecting the time we’ve set aside for your pets. The following policy helps ensure fairness to all clients and our team members.
Standard Pet Care Services
(Adventure Walks, Drop-Ins, Farm Care, In-Home Pet Sitting)
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled service: No charge.
Cancellations made within 24–48 hours of the scheduled service: 50% of the service fee will be charged.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service or same-day cancellations: Full service fee will be charged.
No-shows (arriving to find no pet access or client cancellation after arrival): Full service fee will be charged.
*Repeat or frequent last-minute cancellations may result in prepayment requirements for future bookings.
Wedding Day Pet Care & Special Event Services
Because these dates are reserved well in advance and often require additional preparation:
A non-refundable 20% deposit is required to secure your date.
Cancellations made 30+ days prior to the event will not owe any additional balance.
Cancellations made within 14–29 days of the event will be charged 50% of the total package price.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the event will be charged in full.
If weather, venue closures, or emergencies occur, we’ll do our best to reschedule your service or transfer the deposit to a new date.
Overnight or Holiday Bookings
Because these are high-demand services:
A non-refundable deposit (20%) is required to confirm your reservation.
Cancellations within 3 days of the start date will be charged in full.
Holiday reservations (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, etc.) are non-refundable once booked.
Refunds & Credits
Refunds or credits (when applicable) will be issued to the original payment method or applied toward a future booking.
Emergency Exceptions
We understand that true emergencies happen. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel due to illness, injury, or a family emergency — we’ll review on a case-by-case basis.

Deposit Policy
At Lucky Dog Pets, we take pride in reserving time and care specifically for you and your pets. Because our schedule fills quickly, deposits help secure your booking and ensure availability for your requested dates and services.
Deposit Requirement
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking for the following services:
Overnight Pet Care
Wedding Day Pet Care
Drop-In Care
Farm & Large Animal Care
Your reservation is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
Remaining Balance
The remaining 80% balance is due within 48 hours of end of care. Failure to pay full remaining balance will result in a $5 daily fee added to your total until it is paid
Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule, your deposit may be transferred once to a new date (subject to availability) if notice is given:
At least 7 days before the original service start for standard services.
At least 30 days before the event for wedding day services.
After that window, the deposit is forfeited and a new one will be required for rebooking.
Cancellations
Deposits are non-refundable once payment is made. If a cancellation is made in accordance with our Cancellation Policy, only the remaining balance (if already paid) will be refunded.
Exceptions
In the event of a verified emergency, illness, or severe weather, Lucky Dog Pets may choose to apply the deposit toward a future service at our discretion.

Meet & Greet Policy
At Lucky Dog Pets, we believe in setting every pet (and owner!) up for success. To ensure your pets are comfortable and we fully understand their routines, a Meet & Greet is required before the start any first-time service.
What to Expect
The Meet & Greet is a relaxed 30-minute visit at your home. During this time, we will:
Meet your pets in their own environment where they feel safe and comfortable
Review your care instructions, feeding routines, and any special needs
Go over access details (keys, lockbox, alarms, etc.)
Answer any questions and discuss your service plan
Build trust and ensure everyone — pets and people — feels confident moving forward
Scheduling
Meet & Greets are scheduled in advance of start of care and are required for all new clients before any pet care, walking, or farm visits take place.
Please allow at least 3–5 days before your first scheduled service to complete your Meet & Greet.
Why It Matters
This visit allows us to get to know your pets’ personalities and preferences, ensuring we can provide care that feels familiar, safe, and stress-free for them — and peace of mind for you!
Same-Day Booking Policy
We understand that unexpected plans and last-minute needs can come up! Lucky Dog Pets will do our best to accommodate same-day booking requests whenever our schedule allows.
Availability
Same-day bookings are accepted based on staff availability and may not always be guaranteed. We recommend booking as early as possible to ensure your desired time and service.
Overnight Care
A $25 same-day booking fee applies to all overnight pet care reservations made on the same day of service. This fee helps cover the additional coordination and scheduling required for last-minute accommodations.
Wedding Day Services
For quality and staffing reasons, same-day bookings are not accepted for Wedding Day Pet Care. All wedding services must be scheduled in advance to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for everyone involved.
Other Services
Same-day bookings for drop-ins, walks, or farm visits may be available depending on route and staff availability. Standard service rates apply.
